Glen is a seasoned swim coach with over 10 years of experience guiding athletes to reach their full potential.
Coaching Career: - Head Coach, Lethbridge Summer Swim Club (2005-2006), Assistant Coach (2003-2004). During the year-long season, Glen coached alongside his brother, as the Assistant Coach of the Excalibur Swim Club from 2003-2006. He took a break from coaching swimming to focus on his teaching career, becoming a Science teacher at Medicine Hat High School in 2008, a role he still holds today. Additionally, he began coaching track and field to further diversify his experience. Glen returned to the pool deck and helped assist in the creation and coaching of the Medicine Hat Manta Rays Summer Swim Club (2019-present). He also coaches with AMAC (2022-present). Over the years, Glen has had the opportunity to work with athletes whose ability levels ranged from novice to national qualified swimmers. His certifications include the NCCP Level 2 Swim Coach, and I Can Swim Teacher.
Glen Mori's swimming journey began at the age of nine with the Markham Aquatic Club (MAC). He quickly rose through the ranks, achieving Junior National levels as an age group swimmer. Glen's passion for swimming led him to the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns, where he swam competitively and served as team captain in his final season (2002-2003). A CIS National qualifier, Glen's swimming career of 12 years was marked by dedication, perseverance, and excellence.
Glen enjoys helping children achieve their goals, while teaching them the value of hard work, building positive relationships, and seeing them develop into holistic people that will drive tomorrow's society.
