About me
Cassie is a passionate and dedicated educational coach, wife, and new mom. Her dynamic approach to her Optimal Learning Coach role with Medicine Hat Public school division reflects her commitment to making learning engaging and meaningful for students, particularly through cross-curricular planning and innovative use of technology in the classroom. As an educator, she continuously seeks out hands-on, real-world experiences to enhance students' understanding, support teacher development and continuously improve her own practice. Her work with teachers spans a variety of areas, from K-6 curriculum support, running professional development sessions, working alongside teachers for planning and instruction or supporting administration. Her innovative ideas always leave a lasting impact on both students and fellow educators.
Beyond the classroom, she leads an active lifestyle, embracing a love for all sports, with football holding a special place in her heart as a devoted Saskatchewan Roughriders fan. Whether cheering on her favorite team or participating in recreational activities, she thrives on the energy and excitement that sports bring. Alongside her passion for athletics, she balances her busy professional life with the joys of family. Her young son, Paxton, keeps her days filled with love and adventure, and she is excitedly preparing to welcome her second child. The balance she strikes between her professional commitments, personal passions, and family life showcases her ability to thrive in multiple roles. She lives by the mantra to "leave a little sparkle wherever she goes," bringing positivity and warmth to every aspect of her life, whether in the classroom, on the sports field, or at home with her family.
