About me
I'm Brian Sloan, a teacher, artist, and VR enthusiast from Redcliff, Alberta. I've been teaching for five years at Parkside Junior High School where I teach Math, Art, World Languages, and Virtual Reality. I have been fortunate enough to teach many of my passions. This has led me to continue to learn new things so I can better teach my students. Aside from teaching, I am a professional artist. I specialize in acrylic painting and mixed media work with pyrography. I teach workshops to both kids and adults in our community. Technology has been an interest of mine since I was very young. Virtual Reality was introduced to me a few years ago and I was fascinated by it. I first purchased a VR headset for creating art in virtual reality. I quickly realized the potential of this technology in the classroom and have been thrilled to be able to utilize it with my students. Spending time with my family is what I enjoy most. I have a wife and two kids. We love to go on walks, play outside, and go camping together.
