Come spend the time viewing the documentary, "Bridging the Gap," and engage in a conversation with the research team of teachers and administrators from Brooks, Alberta. The goal of the documentary and research from the University of Calgary was to create a professional development resource for educators, researchers, and school boards to support the integration and collaboration of newcomer families, particularly refugees, within the school system. The documentary incorporates first-person accounts of refugees, fosters positive relationships between families and educational institutions, and explores mental health and well being through film and visual media.
