Painting with Kameko (cost and pre-registration required)

Friday February 21, 2025 9:00am - 11:30am MST

Teachers will spend a 2 hour session creating a Cowboy Boots Painting using Kameko's artistic guidance. Acrylic paint, paint brushes, canvases and instruction will be given. Participant cost AND pre-registration required.

Wellness Medicine Wheel x 2 I talk about being a Sixties Scoop Survivor and how that differs from Residential School. T I then teach about the Wellness Wheel. There are four parts, Spiritual, Emotional, Physical, and Spiritual. I talk about striving for balance in your life. While I'm doing my presentation, we have breaks to paint a rawhide circle in the four direction colours.

Shirley Boomer is a proud Cree woman. She is a member of the Mistawasis Nehiywak band in Saskatchewan. As a Sixties Scoop Survivor, her First Nation knowlege has been a life long journey. Her hope is always, to help others live a full life, by sharing her teachings.
